What is n8n and why do we use it?

n8n is a powerful open-source tool for process automation. Unlike many traditional “no-code” platforms, it offers significantly more flexibility, allowing custom logic and integrations to be implemented بسهولة without having to dive deep into code.

n8n provides over 300 prebuilt integrations for tools like Slack, HubSpot, Google Workspace, Microsoft 365, and databases. At the same time, it can be fully self-hosted—ideal when data privacy or a custom system architecture is important.

With its modular, visual interface, we can develop, test, and deploy workflows extremely quickly—and extend them with AI modules like GPT whenever needed.


Which processes are particularly well suited for automation?

Processes that are repetitive, follow clear rules, and involve multiple systems are especially good candidates. Examples include automatically routing leads into a CRM, sorting and responding to emails, preparing proposals, updating the status of customer inquiries, or handling internal workflows such as onboarding, password resets, or approval processes.

More advanced use cases—like compliance checks or automated analysis of customer feedback—can also be implemented reliably.


How secure is it—and where does the data run?

We rely on GDPR-compliant setups with maximum data security. Depending on your requirements, n8n can be run directly within your infrastructure (on-premise), on German servers, or in the cloud.

We only process the data that is necessary for each specific workflow and ensure controlled access rights, encryption, and secure interfaces. This is a key advantage over traditional SaaS solutions—especially for companies handling sensitive data or operating under strict IT policies.


How long does app development take?

n8n is available for free in its Community Edition—an obvious advantage for self-hosting or smaller use cases. For more complex setups or cloud usage, commercial plans are available, where billing is based only on successful workflow executions—not per action or node, as with many other providers. This keeps the cost structure transparent and predictable.


Can we integrate existing systems and internal tools?

Absolutely. That’s one of n8n’s core strengths. In addition to its many prebuilt integrations, it also allows for custom interfaces and APIs to be connected—whether to internal systems, databases, or specialized solutions.

If there’s an API, we can integrate it. And if not, we’ll find another way to make your systems communicate with each other.


How long does it take until the first workflow is live?

We typically start with a short needs analysis to identify the best entry point. Once the use case is defined, we develop a functional MVP (Minimum Viable Workflow) within just a few days.
